If the act of seeing precedes the word and establishes our place in the world, it is from this premise that the project defines the realization of photographic essays as its main method of research, systematization and dissemination of its results.

Interest in the use of the photographic method has grown in different fields of knowledge, mainly from works of anthropology and ethnography.

Photography has been recognized as an important instrument for recording and transmitting knowledge.

 

This narrative presents photographic essays as documentary sources, instruments of expression, rescue and memory, where photography is constructed with rigor, planning and orientation, for the purpose of confirming its credibility and investigative character.
